At Simucube, we strive to maintain the highest possible standard regarding the protection of personal data in our recruitment process. It is important that you feel safe with, and are informed about, our practices. In this privacy policy, we describe how we handle your personal data.

Granite Devices Inc. is the data controller in accordance with current privacy legislation. The data processor is the provider of the recruitment system we use, Teamtailor (www.teamtailor.com).

2. Purposes and legal grounds for the processing
We store and process your personal data for the purpose of evaluating your suitability to be hired as an employee to our business.
Our legitimate interest for the processing of personal data is to fulfill open positions at our company.
By sending your application or connecting with us through our career site, you consent to your personal data being collected and processed for these purposes.

We collect your personal data when you
- send your application through our career site, adding personal data about yourself either personally or by using a third-party source such as LinkedIn
or
- connect with us through our career site, adding personal data about yourself either personally or by using a third-party source such as LinkedIn.
We or our headhunting partners can also collect data from third parties, such as LinkedIn and other public sources. In some cases, our existing employees can make recommendations about potential new employees. If your data is collected through these ways, you will be informed about it.
Types of information we collect
We only collect and process data that is relevant for recruitment.
The categories of personal data that we collect from each application:
In addition to this, we collect from the application the following information to the extent that is necessary for our recruitment or that you provide yourself:
- other contact information
- pictures and videos
- information from your LinkedIn account
- titles, education, and other information related to professional skills
- answers to questions asked in the application form
- your preferences and expectations regarding your possible role.
During the recruitment process, we may also record the following information to facilitate the decision-making:
- information related to your experience and competences and interview notes
- an activity log about all actions done to your application and communication conducted with you.
Data sources we use
Your personal data is mainly collected from yourself either directly or from your application and other sources you provide in your application (e.g., LinkedIn, referees).
In addition, we collect data from our employees and partners, who are
involved in your recruitment process by evaluating your suitability and
qualifications for the open position(s).
We may use other sources of information if legislation allows.
Processing and storage period
When
you send your application to our open position, we process your data
for the time of filling that position. After that, we store your data
for a maximum of one (1) year from the date of application.
During that time, we may, with your consent, evaluate your suitability
also for our other open positions. Before the end of the one-year
period, we may contact you and ask to renew your consent for an extended period of an additional one (1) year.
When
you connect with us through our career site without applying for an
open position, we process and store your data for a maximum of one (1)
year. Before the end of the one-year period, we may contact you and ask to renew your consent for an extended period of an additional one (1) year.
After the aforementioned storing periods end, we anonymize your application by removing all the personal data and other identifiers you have provided
and we have collected during the recruitment process. For our internal
statistical purposes, we will store general and non-identifiable
information (e.g., the applied position) from the application.
4. Storage and transfers
The personal data we collect is stored and processed by Teamtailor. Teamtailor stores the data inside the EU/EEA or in such third country that is considered by the European Commission to have an adequate level of protection. The data is processed by suppliers that have agreed to implement an adequate level of protection approved by a European Commission decision.
We do not share your information with third parties outside of our recruitment, except in the circumstances of responding to a legal process.
5. Security
We prioritize your personal integrity and therefore work actively so that your personal data is processed with utmost care.
The right to access your information is limited to our employees and partners, who are involved in recruitment and selection of our new employees. All users are committed to confidentiality of the information they have access to and to following the safety measures described in this Privacy Policy and the GDPR regulation.
6. Your rights
You have the right to inspect, correct, or delete your data or to refuse the processing of your data. These requests should be made in writing, using the contact details stated in paragraph 1.
If your personal data has been stored in our register and you have any questions or concerns regarding the processing of your data, you can contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
