IT Manager
Simucube is a game-changer in the world of sim racing and simulators. At the heart of Hervanta, Tampere, our skilled and warm-hearted team of 65 professionals creates products known for their top performance and high quality.
With exciting projects underway and our business growing fast, we are now looking for a new colleague to join us as IT Manager.
This is not a maintenance role. This is a foundation role.
You will build, structure, and take full ownership of Simucube’s IT function, ensuring our systems, tools, and ways of working support both today’s operations and tomorrow’s growth.
You’ll report directly to our CEO and work closely with teams across the organization. In a company of our size, IT is not a back-office function, it’s a business enabler, meaning your work will be both visible and meaningful from day one.
The role in a nutshell
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Hervanta, Tampere. While we offer flexible working arrangements, we value working together on-site, and we expect this role to have a regular presence at the office.
The salary range is 4000-5000€/month, depending on your experience.
This recruitment process is anonymous (read more below).

This is a new role at Simucube. Until now, IT responsibilities have been distributed across different people and partners. Your mission is to bring structure, ownership, and long-term thinking into our IT environment.
You will establish and lead our IT function, combining strategic thinking with hands-on sysadmin expertise. We currently work with our external IT support partner for day-to-day helpdesk operations, but how that partnership evolves is up to you.
You’ll work closely with leadership, finance, R&D, and operations, acting as an internal consultant who ensures IT enables business success.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Establishing and owning Simucube's IT function, building the structure, documentation, and processes we currently lack.
• Taking full ownership of our Microsoft environment (M365, Azure), identity and access management, and device lifecycle
• Leading collaboration with our external IT partner and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Strengthening IT security and continuity (MFA, backups, risk management, incident response practices)
• Driving practical AI enablement and contributing to ERP development from an architecture and integration perspective
We believe this role will suit you if you:
• Have experience building or significantly developing IT environments in a growing organization
• Combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical capability
• Have strong expertise in Microsoft modern workplace environments and identity management
• Understand how modern IT environments fit together: SaaS, networking and security included
• Are comfortable leading external IT vendors and bringing structure into organically grown environments
• Are curious about AI tools and enjoy supporting people across the organization
This role requires someone who enjoys ownership. You are not stepping into a large IT department, you are building one. As Simucube and IT function grow, there may be opportunities to step into a broader leadership role over time.

In return, we offer you:
People-first culture: We care about your well-being. That’s why we encourage regular breaks during the workday and offer a paid 30-minute mid-day stroll to recharge. You’ll also enjoy a €400/year well-being allowance (covering sports, culture, and wellness), extensive occupational healthcare, and access to high-quality sports equipment for borrowing.
Real ownership: This is a rare opportunity to build an IT function from scratch in a fast-growing technology company.
Flexibility and trust: We trust you to manage your time. Enjoy flexible working hours and hybrid work options. You’ll have access to top-notch tools and software, and yes, you’re welcome to use our equipment (including 3D printers) for your own hobby or DIY projects.
Continuous learning: We support your growth. From training programs to literature of your choice, we want every team member to keep developing their skills and stay curious – especially in emerging areas like AI and automation.
